It’s mid-afternoon and Sesla’s spectacular sun is beaming overhead in the blue desert sky. Like most days here, the sky is cloudless.
I’m just returning from an outing for another news story in my daily column. I was interviewing Jeqrix Grexenn, the owner of the Kinkorx Horned Hares.
As I drove back to my office, I listened to Kinkorx Ultra-Modern Radio. It was mentioned during a news segment that Mustler and the Gang of Five have been silent for several weeks. The last time we enjoyed silence like this, Mustler was planning the “Day of Terror.”
On that terrible day, the Gang of Five burned, murdered, and plundered several stores in the wet lands. It is feared my many that Mustler is planning a similar event at this very moment.
This brilliant, but heinous mutant group, seems to remain one step ahead of the wet lands authorities. It will always by my suspicion that Mustler and his gang are a product of genetic engineering by Dr. Rewqust and his Mad scientists at Qashlet lab—In rural Guytic City—in the Wet Lands.
It’s time for me to get to work. As I mentioned, I have a sports article for the Desert News to write.
